I am a breastfeeding mother and i want to know if it is safe to use Mitrolan? Is Mitrolan safe for nursing mother and child? Does Mitrolan extracts into breast milk? Does Mitrolan has any long term or short term side effects on infants? Can Mitrolan influence milk supply or can Mitrolan decrease milk supply in lactating mothers?

Mitrolan (azapropazone) is not approved for marketing in the United States by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration. Relatively small amounts of the drug are excreted into breastmilk; however, the toxicity of the drug limits its usefulness in nursing mothers.[1] An alternate drug is preferred, especially while nursing a newborn or preterm infant.
