Is TIC Safe in Breastfeeding

Question

I am a breastfeeding mother and i want to know if it is safe to use TIC? Is TIC safe for nursing mother and child? Does TIC extracts into breast milk? Does TIC has any long term or short term side effects on infants? Can TIC influence milk supply or can TIC decrease milk supply in lactating mothers?

Potent hallucinogenic drug.Drug abuse turns the mother unable to take care of the infant properly and poses a threat for health of both the mother and the child. Avoid taking this drug.

A single case of TIC use has been reported in which a small amount of TIC was detected in breastmilk over 6 weeks after use of an unknown quantity of the drug. Effects on the breastfed infant are unknown. The Academy of Breastfeeding Medicine suggests that women who have abused TIC generally should not breastfeed unless they have a negative maternal urine toxicology at delivery, have been abstinent for at least 90 days, are in a substance abuse treatment program and plan to continue in it during the postpartum period, have the approval of their substance abuse counselor, have been engaged and compliant in their prenatal care, and have no other contraindications to breastfeeding.[1]
