Is 4-((1R)-2-((6-(2-((2,6-dichlorophenyl)methoxy)ethoxy)hexyl)amino)-1-hydroxyethyl)-2-(hydroxymethyl)phenol safe for nursing mother and child? Does 4-((1R)-2-((6-(2-((2,6-dichlorophenyl)methoxy)ethoxy)hexyl)amino)-1-hydroxyethyl)-2-(hydroxymethyl)phenol extracts into breast milk? Can 4-((1R)-2-((6-(2-((2,6-dichlorophenyl)methoxy)ethoxy)hexyl)amino)-1-hydroxyethyl)-2-(hydroxymethyl)phenol influence milk supply or can 4-((1R)-2-((6-(2-((2,6-dichlorophenyl)methoxy)ethoxy)hexyl)amino)-1-hydroxyethyl)-2-(hydroxymethyl)phenol decrease milk supply in lactating mothers?

Answer by DrLact: About 4-((1R)-2-((6-(2-((2,6-dichlorophenyl)methoxy)ethoxy)hexyl)amino)-1-hydroxyethyl)-2-(hydroxymethyl)phenol usage in lactation

Although no published data exist on the use of 4-((1R)-2-((6-(2-((2,6-dichlorophenyl)methoxy)ethoxy)hexyl)amino)-1-hydroxyethyl)-2-(hydroxymethyl)phenol during lactation, data from the related drug, terbutaline, indicate that very little is expected to be excreted into breastmilk.[1] 4-((1R)-2-((6-(2-((2,6-dichlorophenyl)methoxy)ethoxy)hexyl)amino)-1-hydroxyethyl)-2-(hydroxymethyl)phenol is available only in combination products such as Breo Ellipta and Anoro Ellipta. The authors of several reviews agree that use of inhaled bronchodilators is acceptable during breastfeeding because of the low bioavailability and maternal serum levels after use.[2][3][4][5] Combination products such as Breo Ellipta and Anoro Ellipta are likely to be acceptable for similar reasons.
