Is New-meladinin Safe in Breastfeeding

I am a breastfeeding mother and i want to know if it is safe to use New-meladinin? Is New-meladinin safe for nursing mother and child? Does New-meladinin extracts into breast milk? Does New-meladinin has any long term or short term side effects on infants? Can New-meladinin influence milk supply or can New-meladinin decrease milk supply in lactating mothers?

No information is available on the use of New-meladinin during breastfeeding. Expert opinion indicates that due to the photosensitizing effects of New-meladinin, breastfeeding should be withheld for 24 hours after an oral dose to allow for 95% of the drug to be eliminated in the mother's urine.[1][2] The same precaution probably applies to patients receiving New-meladinin as a part of therapy for cutaneous T-cell lymphoma. Use of topical New-meladinin is not contraindicated during breastfeeding,[3][4] but avoid direct contact of the treated skin with the skin of the infant.
