Is Puvalen Safe in Breastfeeding

I am a breastfeeding mother and i want to know if it is safe to use Puvalen? Is Puvalen safe for nursing mother and child? Does Puvalen extracts into breast milk? Does Puvalen has any long term or short term side effects on infants? Can Puvalen influence milk supply or can Puvalen decrease milk supply in lactating mothers?

No information is available on the use of Puvalen during breastfeeding. Expert opinion indicates that due to the photosensitizing effects of Puvalen, breastfeeding should be withheld for 24 hours after an oral dose to allow for 95% of the drug to be eliminated in the mother's urine.[1][2] The same precaution probably applies to patients receiving Puvalen as a part of therapy for cutaneous T-cell lymphoma. Use of topical Puvalen is not contraindicated during breastfeeding,[3][4] but avoid direct contact of the treated skin with the skin of the infant.
