Is Puvamet Safe in Breastfeeding

I am a breastfeeding mother and i want to know if it is safe to use Puvamet? Is Puvamet safe for nursing mother and child? Does Puvamet extracts into breast milk? Does Puvamet has any long term or short term side effects on infants? Can Puvamet influence milk supply or can Puvamet decrease milk supply in lactating mothers?

No information is available on the use of Puvamet during breastfeeding. Expert opinion indicates that due to the photosensitizing effects of Puvamet, breastfeeding should be withheld for 24 hours after an oral dose to allow for 95% of the drug to be eliminated in the mother's urine.[1][2] The same precaution probably applies to patients receiving Puvamet as a part of therapy for cutaneous T-cell lymphoma. Use of topical Puvamet is not contraindicated during breastfeeding,[3][4] but avoid direct contact of the treated skin with the skin of the infant.
