Question

I am a breastfeeding mother and i want to know if it is safe to use RGH-188? Is RGH-188 safe for nursing mother and child? Does RGH-188 extracts into breast milk? Does RGH-188 has any long term or short term side effects on infants? Can RGH-188 influence milk supply or can RGH-188 decrease milk supply in lactating mothers?

Answer by DrLact: About RGH-188 usage in lactation

No information is available on the use of RGH-188 during breastfeeding. If RGH-188 is required by the mother of an older infant, it is not a reason to discontinue breastfeeding, but until more data become available, an alternate drug may be preferred, especially while nursing a newborn or preterm infant.
