I am a breastfeeding mother and i want to know if it is safe to use H 61? Is H 61 safe for nursing mother and child? Does H 61 extracts into breast milk? Does H 61 has any long term or short term side effects on infants? Can H 61 influence milk supply or can H 61 decrease milk supply in lactating mothers?

No information is available on the use of H 61 during breastfeeding and the manufacturer recommends that it not be used during breastfeeding. An alternate intravenous drug with more published data available may be preferred. Pasteurization of milk by the Holder method reduces the concentration of iron in milk by about 6.5%.[1]
