I am a breastfeeding mother and i want to know if it is safe to use C 7228? Is C 7228 safe for nursing mother and child? Does C 7228 extracts into breast milk? Does C 7228 has any long term or short term side effects on infants? Can C 7228 influence milk supply or can C 7228 decrease milk supply in lactating mothers?

No information is available on the use of C 7228 during breastfeeding; however, the drug has been given safely to neonates intravenously.[1][2][3] An alternate intravenous iron product with more published data on breastfeeding available may be preferred. Pasteurization of milk by the Holder method reduces the concentration of iron in milk by about 6.5%.[4]
