I am a breastfeeding mother and i want to know if it is safe to use Hirulog? Is Hirulog safe for nursing mother and child? Does Hirulog extracts into breast milk? Does Hirulog has any long term or short term side effects on infants? Can Hirulog influence milk supply or can Hirulog decrease milk supply in lactating mothers?

Because no information is available on the use of Hirulog during breastfeeding, an alternate drug is preferred.[1]
