Is BCX1812 Safe in Breastfeeding
Question
I am a breastfeeding mother and i want to know if it is safe to use BCX1812? Is BCX1812 safe for nursing mother and child? Does BCX1812 extracts into breast milk? Does BCX1812 has any long term or short term side effects on infants? Can BCX1812 influence milk supply or can BCX1812 decrease milk supply in lactating mothers?

No information is available on the use of BCX1812 during breastfeeding. Because BCX1812 is poorly absorbed orally, it is not likely to reach the bloodstream of the infant in clinically important amounts. If BCX1812 is required by the mother, it is not a reason to discontinue breastfeeding. However, because no information is available on the use of BCX1812 breastfeeding, an alternate drug may be preferred, especially while nursing a newborn or preterm infant.
