I am a breastfeeding mother and i want to know if it is safe to use L1? Is L1 safe for nursing mother and child? Does L1 extracts into breast milk? Does L1 has any long term or short term side effects on infants? Can L1 influence milk supply or can L1 decrease milk supply in lactating mothers?

Because no information is available on the use of L1 during breastfeeding and it is orally absorbed, an alternate drug is preferred, especially while nursing a newborn or preterm infant. Australian guidelines recommend against breastfeeding during L1 treatment.[1]
