Question

I am a breastfeeding mother and i want to know if it is safe to use PF-2341066? Is PF-2341066 safe for nursing mother and child? Does PF-2341066 extracts into breast milk? Does PF-2341066 has any long term or short term side effects on infants? Can PF-2341066 influence milk supply or can PF-2341066 decrease milk supply in lactating mothers?

Answer by DrLact: About PF-2341066 usage in lactation

No information is available on the clinical use of PF-2341066 during breastfeeding. Because PF-2341066 is 91% bound to plasma proteins, the amount in milk is likely to be low. However, its half-life is about 42 hours and it might accumulate in the infant. The manufacturer recommends that breastfeeding be discontinued during PF-2341066 therapy and for 45 days after the last dose.
