Question

I am a breastfeeding mother and i want to know if it is safe to use UNII-53AH36668S? Is UNII-53AH36668S safe for nursing mother and child? Does UNII-53AH36668S extracts into breast milk? Does UNII-53AH36668S has any long term or short term side effects on infants? Can UNII-53AH36668S influence milk supply or can UNII-53AH36668S decrease milk supply in lactating mothers?

Answer by DrLact: About UNII-53AH36668S usage in lactation

No information is available on the clinical use of UNII-53AH36668S during breastfeeding. Because UNII-53AH36668S is 91% bound to plasma proteins, the amount in milk is likely to be low. However, its half-life is about 42 hours and it might accumulate in the infant. The manufacturer recommends that breastfeeding be discontinued during UNII-53AH36668S therapy and for 45 days after the last dose.
