Is XL-184 Safe in Breastfeeding
Question
I am a breastfeeding mother and i want to know if it is safe to use XL-184? Is XL-184 safe for nursing mother and child? Does XL-184 extracts into breast milk? Does XL-184 has any long term or short term side effects on infants? Can XL-184 influence milk supply or can XL-184 decrease milk supply in lactating mothers?

No information is available on the clinical use of XL-184 during breastfeeding. Because XL-184 is more than 97% bound to plasma proteins, the amount in milk is likely to be low. However, its half-life ranges from 55 to 99 hours and it might accumulate in the infant. The manufacturer recommends that breastfeeding be discontinued during XL-184 therapy and for 4 months after the last dose.
