Question

I am a breastfeeding mother and i want to know if it is safe to use UNII-1C39JW444G? Is UNII-1C39JW444G safe for nursing mother and child? Does UNII-1C39JW444G extracts into breast milk? Does UNII-1C39JW444G has any long term or short term side effects on infants? Can UNII-1C39JW444G influence milk supply or can UNII-1C39JW444G decrease milk supply in lactating mothers?

Answer by DrLact: About UNII-1C39JW444G usage in lactation

No information is available on the clinical use of UNII-1C39JW444G during breastfeeding. Because UNII-1C39JW444G is more than 97% bound to plasma proteins, the amount in milk is likely to be low. However, its half-life ranges from 55 to 99 hours and it might accumulate in the infant. The manufacturer recommends that breastfeeding be discontinued during UNII-1C39JW444G therapy and for 4 months after the last dose.
