Is SKI606 Safe in Breastfeeding
Question
I am a breastfeeding mother and i want to know if it is safe to use SKI606? Is SKI606 safe for nursing mother and child? Does SKI606 extracts into breast milk? Does SKI606 has any long term or short term side effects on infants? Can SKI606 influence milk supply or can SKI606 decrease milk supply in lactating mothers?

No information is available on the clinical use of SKI606 during breastfeeding. Because SKI606 is 96% bound to plasma proteins, the amount in milk is likely to be low. However, its half-life is about 22 hours and it might accumulate in the infant. The manufacturer recommends that breastfeeding be discontinued during SKI606 therapy.
