Question

I am a breastfeeding mother and i want to know if it is safe to use UNII-41UD74L59M? Is UNII-41UD74L59M safe for nursing mother and child? Does UNII-41UD74L59M extracts into breast milk? Does UNII-41UD74L59M has any long term or short term side effects on infants? Can UNII-41UD74L59M influence milk supply or can UNII-41UD74L59M decrease milk supply in lactating mothers?

Answer by DrLact: About UNII-41UD74L59M usage in lactation

No information is available on the clinical use of UNII-41UD74L59M during breastfeeding. Because UNII-41UD74L59M is about 95% bound to plasma proteins, the amount in milk is likely to be low. However, its half-life is about 37 hours and it might accumulate in the infant. the manufacturer recommends that breastfeeding be discontinued during UNII-41UD74L59M therapy and for 2 weeks after the last dose.
