Question

I am a breastfeeding mother and i want to know if it is safe to use UNII-LIJ4CT1Z3Y? Is UNII-LIJ4CT1Z3Y safe for nursing mother and child? Does UNII-LIJ4CT1Z3Y extracts into breast milk? Does UNII-LIJ4CT1Z3Y has any long term or short term side effects on infants? Can UNII-LIJ4CT1Z3Y influence milk supply or can UNII-LIJ4CT1Z3Y decrease milk supply in lactating mothers?

Answer by DrLact: About UNII-LIJ4CT1Z3Y usage in lactation

No information is available on the clinical use of UNII-LIJ4CT1Z3Y during breastfeeding. Because UNII-LIJ4CT1Z3Y is more than 99% bound to plasma proteins, the amount in milk is likely to be low. However, its half-life is about 33 hours and it might accumulate in the infant. The manufacturer recommends that breastfeeding be discontinued during UNII-LIJ4CT1Z3Y therapy and for 1 week after the last dose.
