Is AF 802 Safe in Breastfeeding
Question
I am a breastfeeding mother and i want to know if it is safe to use AF 802? Is AF 802 safe for nursing mother and child? Does AF 802 extracts into breast milk? Does AF 802 has any long term or short term side effects on infants? Can AF 802 influence milk supply or can AF 802 decrease milk supply in lactating mothers?

No information is available on the clinical use of AF 802 during breastfeeding. Because AF 802 is more than 99% bound to plasma proteins, the amount in milk is likely to be low. However, its half-life is about 33 hours and it might accumulate in the infant. The manufacturer recommends that breastfeeding be discontinued during AF 802 therapy and for 1 week after the last dose.
