Is RG 7420 Safe in Breastfeeding
Question
I am a breastfeeding mother and i want to know if it is safe to use RG 7420? Is RG 7420 safe for nursing mother and child? Does RG 7420 extracts into breast milk? Does RG 7420 has any long term or short term side effects on infants? Can RG 7420 influence milk supply or can RG 7420 decrease milk supply in lactating mothers?

No information is available on the clinical use of RG 7420 during breastfeeding. Because RG 7420 is 90% bound to plasma proteins, the amount in milk is likely to be low. However, its half-life is about 44 hours and it might accumulate in the infant. The manufacturer recommends that breastfeeding be discontinued during RG 7420 therapy and for 2 weeks after the last dose.
