Is Cotellic Safe in Breastfeeding
Question
I am a breastfeeding mother and i want to know if it is safe to use Cotellic? Is Cotellic safe for nursing mother and child? Does Cotellic extracts into breast milk? Does Cotellic has any long term or short term side effects on infants? Can Cotellic influence milk supply or can Cotellic decrease milk supply in lactating mothers?

No information is available on the clinical use of Cotellic during breastfeeding. Because Cotellic is 90% bound to plasma proteins, the amount in milk is likely to be low. However, its half-life is about 44 hours and it might accumulate in the infant. The manufacturer recommends that breastfeeding be discontinued during Cotellic therapy and for 2 weeks after the last dose.
