Is CAL-101 Safe in Breastfeeding
Question
I am a breastfeeding mother and i want to know if it is safe to use CAL-101? Is CAL-101 safe for nursing mother and child? Does CAL-101 extracts into breast milk? Does CAL-101 has any long term or short term side effects on infants? Can CAL-101 influence milk supply or can CAL-101 decrease milk supply in lactating mothers?

No information is available on the clinical use of CAL-101 during breastfeeding. Because CAL-101 is more than 84% bound to plasma proteins, the amount in milk is likely to be low. It is sometimes given in combination with rituximab, which may increase the risk to the infant. The manufacturer recommends that breastfeeding be discontinued during CAL-101 therapy and for at least 1 month after the last dose.
