Question

I am a breastfeeding mother and i want to know if it is safe to use UNII-71050168A2? Is UNII-71050168A2 safe for nursing mother and child? Does UNII-71050168A2 extracts into breast milk? Does UNII-71050168A2 has any long term or short term side effects on infants? Can UNII-71050168A2 influence milk supply or can UNII-71050168A2 decrease milk supply in lactating mothers?

Answer by DrLact: About UNII-71050168A2 usage in lactation

No information is available on the clinical use of UNII-71050168A2 during breastfeeding. Because its half-life is about 9.5 days, it is likely to accumulate in the infant. It is also given in combination with leflunomide and dexamethasone, which may increase the risk to the infant. The manufacturer recommends that breastfeeding be discontinued during UNII-71050168A2 therapy and for 90 days after the last dose.
