Question

I am a breastfeeding mother and i want to know if it is safe to use Boronic acid, b-((1R)-1-((2-((2,5-dichlorobenzoyl)amino)acetyl)amino)-3-methylbutyl)-? Is Boronic acid, b-((1R)-1-((2-((2,5-dichlorobenzoyl)amino)acetyl)amino)-3-methylbutyl)- safe for nursing mother and child? Does Boronic acid, b-((1R)-1-((2-((2,5-dichlorobenzoyl)amino)acetyl)amino)-3-methylbutyl)- extracts into breast milk? Does Boronic acid, b-((1R)-1-((2-((2,5-dichlorobenzoyl)amino)acetyl)amino)-3-methylbutyl)- has any long term or short term side effects on infants? Can Boronic acid, b-((1R)-1-((2-((2,5-dichlorobenzoyl)amino)acetyl)amino)-3-methylbutyl)- influence milk supply or can Boronic acid, b-((1R)-1-((2-((2,5-dichlorobenzoyl)amino)acetyl)amino)-3-methylbutyl)- decrease milk supply in lactating mothers?

Answer by DrLact: About Boronic acid, b-((1R)-1-((2-((2,5-dichlorobenzoyl)amino)acetyl)amino)-3-methylbutyl)- usage in lactation

No information is available on the clinical use of Boronic acid, b-((1R)-1-((2-((2,5-dichlorobenzoyl)amino)acetyl)amino)-3-methylbutyl)- during breastfeeding. Because its half-life is about 9.5 days, it is likely to accumulate in the infant. It is also given in combination with leflunomide and dexamethasone, which may increase the risk to the infant. The manufacturer recommends that breastfeeding be discontinued during Boronic acid, b-((1R)-1-((2-((2,5-dichlorobenzoyl)amino)acetyl)amino)-3-methylbutyl)- therapy and for 90 days after the last dose.
