Question

I am a breastfeeding mother and i want to know if it is safe to use JNJ 02? Is JNJ 02 safe for nursing mother and child? Does JNJ 02 extracts into breast milk? Does JNJ 02 has any long term or short term side effects on infants? Can JNJ 02 influence milk supply or can JNJ 02 decrease milk supply in lactating mothers?

Answer by DrLact: About JNJ 02 usage in lactation

No information is available on the clinical use of JNJ 02 during breastfeeding. Because JNJ 02 is more than 97% bound to plasma proteins, the amount in milk is likely to be low. The manufacturer recommends that breastfeeding be discontinued during JNJ 02 therapy.
