Question

I am a breastfeeding mother and i want to know if it is safe to use Regorafenibum? Is Regorafenibum safe for nursing mother and child? Does Regorafenibum extracts into breast milk? Does Regorafenibum has any long term or short term side effects on infants? Can Regorafenibum influence milk supply or can Regorafenibum decrease milk supply in lactating mothers?

Answer by DrLact: About Regorafenibum usage in lactation

No information is available on the clinical use of Regorafenibum during breastfeeding. Because Regorafenibum is 99.5% bound to plasma proteins, the amount in milk is likely to be low. However, one of its metabolites has a half-life of up to 70 hours, and might accumulate in the infant. The manufacturer recommends that breastfeeding be discontinued during Regorafenibum therapy and for 2 weeks after the final dose.
