Question

I am a breastfeeding mother and i want to know if it is safe to use UNII-4340891KFS? Is UNII-4340891KFS safe for nursing mother and child? Does UNII-4340891KFS extracts into breast milk? Does UNII-4340891KFS has any long term or short term side effects on infants? Can UNII-4340891KFS influence milk supply or can UNII-4340891KFS decrease milk supply in lactating mothers?

Answer by DrLact: About UNII-4340891KFS usage in lactation

No information is available on the clinical use of UNII-4340891KFS during breastfeeding. Because UNII-4340891KFS is more than 99% bound to plasma proteins, the amount in milk is likely to be low. However, its half-life is about 24 hours and it might accumulate in the infant. The manufacturer recommends that breastfeeding be discontinued during UNII-4340891KFS therapy and for 6 days following the last dose.
