I am a breastfeeding mother and i want to know if it is safe to use 6-Acetyl-8-cyclopentyl-5-methyl-2-(5-piperazin-1-ylpyridin-2-ylamino)-8H-pyrido(2,3-d)pyrimidin-7-one? Is 6-Acetyl-8-cyclopentyl-5-methyl-2-(5-piperazin-1-ylpyridin-2-ylamino)-8H-pyrido(2,3-d)pyrimidin-7-one safe for nursing mother and child? Does 6-Acetyl-8-cyclopentyl-5-methyl-2-(5-piperazin-1-ylpyridin-2-ylamino)-8H-pyrido(2,3-d)pyrimidin-7-one extracts into breast milk? Does 6-Acetyl-8-cyclopentyl-5-methyl-2-(5-piperazin-1-ylpyridin-2-ylamino)-8H-pyrido(2,3-d)pyrimidin-7-one has any long term or short term side effects on infants? Can 6-Acetyl-8-cyclopentyl-5-methyl-2-(5-piperazin-1-ylpyridin-2-ylamino)-8H-pyrido(2,3-d)pyrimidin-7-one influence milk supply or can 6-Acetyl-8-cyclopentyl-5-methyl-2-(5-piperazin-1-ylpyridin-2-ylamino)-8H-pyrido(2,3-d)pyrimidin-7-one decrease milk supply in lactating mothers?
No information is available on the clinical use of 6-Acetyl-8-cyclopentyl-5-methyl-2-(5-piperazin-1-ylpyridin-2-ylamino)-8H-pyrido(2,3-d)pyrimidin-7-one during breastfeeding. Because 6-Acetyl-8-cyclopentyl-5-methyl-2-(5-piperazin-1-ylpyridin-2-ylamino)-8H-pyrido(2,3-d)pyrimidin-7-one is 85% bound to plasma proteins, the amount in milk is likely to be low. However, its half-life is about 29 hours and it might accumulate in the infant. It is also given in combination with letrozole or fulvestrant, which may increase the risk to the infant. The manufacturer recommends that breastfeeding be discontinued during 6-Acetyl-8-cyclopentyl-5-methyl-2-(5-piperazin-1-ylpyridin-2-ylamino)-8H-pyrido(2,3-d)pyrimidin-7-one therapy and for 3 weeks after the last dose.
