Is AZD9291 Safe in Breastfeeding
Question
I am a breastfeeding mother and i want to know if it is safe to use AZD9291? Is AZD9291 safe for nursing mother and child? Does AZD9291 extracts into breast milk? Does AZD9291 has any long term or short term side effects on infants? Can AZD9291 influence milk supply or can AZD9291 decrease milk supply in lactating mothers?

No information is available on the clinical use of AZD9291 during breastfeeding. Because AZD9291 is 95% bound to plasma proteins, the amount in milk is likely to be low. However, its half-life is about 48 hours and it might accumulate in the infant. The manufacturer recommends that breastfeeding be discontinued during AZD9291 therapy and for 2 weeks after the final dose.
