Question

I am a breastfeeding mother and i want to know if it is safe to use E7080? Is E7080 safe for nursing mother and child? Does E7080 extracts into breast milk? Does E7080 has any long term or short term side effects on infants? Can E7080 influence milk supply or can E7080 decrease milk supply in lactating mothers?

Answer by DrLact: About E7080 usage in lactation

No information is available on the clinical use of E7080 during breastfeeding. Because E7080 is more than 98% bound to plasma proteins, the amount in milk is likely to be low. However, its half-life is about 28 hours and it might accumulate in the infant. The manufacturer recommends that breastfeeding be discontinued during E7080 therapy and for 1 week after the last dose.
