Question

I am a breastfeeding mother and i want to know if it is safe to use UNII-EE083865G2? Is UNII-EE083865G2 safe for nursing mother and child? Does UNII-EE083865G2 extracts into breast milk? Does UNII-EE083865G2 has any long term or short term side effects on infants? Can UNII-EE083865G2 influence milk supply or can UNII-EE083865G2 decrease milk supply in lactating mothers?

Answer by DrLact: About UNII-EE083865G2 usage in lactation

No information is available on the clinical use of UNII-EE083865G2 during breastfeeding. Because UNII-EE083865G2 is more than 98% bound to plasma proteins, the amount in milk is likely to be low. However, its half-life is about 28 hours and it might accumulate in the infant. The manufacturer recommends that breastfeeding be discontinued during UNII-EE083865G2 therapy and for 1 week after the last dose.
