Is Lenvima Safe in Breastfeeding
Question
I am a breastfeeding mother and i want to know if it is safe to use Lenvima? Is Lenvima safe for nursing mother and child? Does Lenvima extracts into breast milk? Does Lenvima has any long term or short term side effects on infants? Can Lenvima influence milk supply or can Lenvima decrease milk supply in lactating mothers?

No information is available on the clinical use of Lenvima during breastfeeding. Because Lenvima is more than 98% bound to plasma proteins, the amount in milk is likely to be low. However, its half-life is about 28 hours and it might accumulate in the infant. The manufacturer recommends that breastfeeding be discontinued during Lenvima therapy and for 1 week after the last dose.
