Question

I am a breastfeeding mother and i want to know if it is safe to use UNII-207SMY3FQT? Is UNII-207SMY3FQT safe for nursing mother and child? Does UNII-207SMY3FQT extracts into breast milk? Does UNII-207SMY3FQT has any long term or short term side effects on infants? Can UNII-207SMY3FQT influence milk supply or can UNII-207SMY3FQT decrease milk supply in lactating mothers?

Answer by DrLact: About UNII-207SMY3FQT usage in lactation

No information is available on the clinical use of UNII-207SMY3FQT during breastfeeding. Because UNII-207SMY3FQT is more than 99% bound to plasma proteins, the amount in milk is likely to be low. However, its half-life is 57 hours and it might accumulate in the infant. The manufacturer recommends that breastfeeding be discontinued during UNII-207SMY3FQT therapy and for 2 weeks after the final dose.
