Question

I am a breastfeeding mother and i want to know if it is safe to use UNII-YO460OQ37K? Is UNII-YO460OQ37K safe for nursing mother and child? Does UNII-YO460OQ37K extracts into breast milk? Does UNII-YO460OQ37K has any long term or short term side effects on infants? Can UNII-YO460OQ37K influence milk supply or can UNII-YO460OQ37K decrease milk supply in lactating mothers?

Answer by DrLact: About UNII-YO460OQ37K usage in lactation

No information is available on the clinical use of UNII-YO460OQ37K during breastfeeding. Because UNII-YO460OQ37K is 90% bound to plasma proteins, the amount in milk is likely to be low. However, its half-life is 19 days and it might accumulate in the infant. The manufacturer recommends that breastfeeding be discontinued during UNII-YO460OQ37K therapy and for 4 months after the last dose.
