Question

I am a breastfeeding mother and i want to know if it is safe to use N-(6-((cis-2,6-Dimethylmorpholin-4-yl)-3-pyridyl)-2-methyl-3-(4-(trifluoromethoxy)phenyl)benzamide? Is N-(6-((cis-2,6-Dimethylmorpholin-4-yl)-3-pyridyl)-2-methyl-3-(4-(trifluoromethoxy)phenyl)benzamide safe for nursing mother and child? Does N-(6-((cis-2,6-Dimethylmorpholin-4-yl)-3-pyridyl)-2-methyl-3-(4-(trifluoromethoxy)phenyl)benzamide extracts into breast milk? Does N-(6-((cis-2,6-Dimethylmorpholin-4-yl)-3-pyridyl)-2-methyl-3-(4-(trifluoromethoxy)phenyl)benzamide has any long term or short term side effects on infants? Can N-(6-((cis-2,6-Dimethylmorpholin-4-yl)-3-pyridyl)-2-methyl-3-(4-(trifluoromethoxy)phenyl)benzamide influence milk supply or can N-(6-((cis-2,6-Dimethylmorpholin-4-yl)-3-pyridyl)-2-methyl-3-(4-(trifluoromethoxy)phenyl)benzamide decrease milk supply in lactating mothers?

Answer by DrLact: About N-(6-((cis-2,6-Dimethylmorpholin-4-yl)-3-pyridyl)-2-methyl-3-(4-(trifluoromethoxy)phenyl)benzamide usage in lactation

No information is available on the clinical use of N-(6-((cis-2,6-Dimethylmorpholin-4-yl)-3-pyridyl)-2-methyl-3-(4-(trifluoromethoxy)phenyl)benzamide during breastfeeding. Because N-(6-((cis-2,6-Dimethylmorpholin-4-yl)-3-pyridyl)-2-methyl-3-(4-(trifluoromethoxy)phenyl)benzamide is 97% bound to plasma proteins, the amount in milk is likely to be low. However, its half-life is about 28 days and it might accumulate in the infant. The manufacturer recommends that breastfeeding be discontinued during N-(6-((cis-2,6-Dimethylmorpholin-4-yl)-3-pyridyl)-2-methyl-3-(4-(trifluoromethoxy)phenyl)benzamide therapy.
