Is BAY43-9006 Safe in Breastfeeding
Question
I am a breastfeeding mother and i want to know if it is safe to use BAY43-9006? Is BAY43-9006 safe for nursing mother and child? Does BAY43-9006 extracts into breast milk? Does BAY43-9006 has any long term or short term side effects on infants? Can BAY43-9006 influence milk supply or can BAY43-9006 decrease milk supply in lactating mothers?

No information is available on the clinical use of BAY43-9006 during breastfeeding. Because BAY43-9006 is 99.5% bound to plasma proteins, the amount in milk is likely to be low. However, its half-life is 25 to 48 hours and it might accumulate in the infant. The manufacturer recommends that breastfeeding be discontinued during BAY43-9006 therapy.
