Is GKI 841 Safe in Breastfeeding
Question
I am a breastfeeding mother and i want to know if it is safe to use GKI 841? Is GKI 841 safe for nursing mother and child? Does GKI 841 extracts into breast milk? Does GKI 841 has any long term or short term side effects on infants? Can GKI 841 influence milk supply or can GKI 841 decrease milk supply in lactating mothers?

Because no information is available on use of GKI 841 during breastfeeding, an alternate drug may be preferred, especially while nursing a newborn or preterm infant. If GKI 841 is required by the mother, it is not necessarily a reason to discontinue breastfeeding, but monitor the infant for drowsiness, agitation, adequate weight gain, and developmental milestones, especially in younger, exclusively breastfed infants and when using combinations of drugs.
