Is PKC 412 Safe in Breastfeeding
Question
I am a breastfeeding mother and i want to know if it is safe to use PKC 412? Is PKC 412 safe for nursing mother and child? Does PKC 412 extracts into breast milk? Does PKC 412 has any long term or short term side effects on infants? Can PKC 412 influence milk supply or can PKC 412 decrease milk supply in lactating mothers?

No information is available on the clinical use of PKC 412 during breastfeeding. Because PKC 412 and its active metabolites are 99.8% bound to plasma proteins, the amount in milk is likely to be low. The manufacturer recommends that breastfeeding be discontinued during PKC 412 therapy and for at least 4 months after the last dose. Avoiding breastfeeding is particularly important when PKC 412 is given with other cancer chemotherapy agents.
