Question

I am a breastfeeding mother and i want to know if it is safe to use UNII-ID912S5VON? Is UNII-ID912S5VON safe for nursing mother and child? Does UNII-ID912S5VON extracts into breast milk? Does UNII-ID912S5VON has any long term or short term side effects on infants? Can UNII-ID912S5VON influence milk supply or can UNII-ID912S5VON decrease milk supply in lactating mothers?

Answer by DrLact: About UNII-ID912S5VON usage in lactation

No information is available on the clinical use of UNII-ID912S5VON during breastfeeding. Because UNII-ID912S5VON and its active metabolites are 99.8% bound to plasma proteins, the amount in milk is likely to be low. The manufacturer recommends that breastfeeding be discontinued during UNII-ID912S5VON therapy and for at least 4 months after the last dose. Avoiding breastfeeding is particularly important when UNII-ID912S5VON is given with other cancer chemotherapy agents.
