I am a breastfeeding mother and i want to know if it is safe to use Sulfur, pharmaceutical? Is Sulfur, pharmaceutical safe for nursing mother and child? Sulfur, pharmaceutical 5% to 10% in a petrolatum base is safe for topical use in children, including infants under 2 months of age.[1] This makes it a useful alternative to organic insecticides for treating scabies in nursing mothers; however, the petrolatum base makes undesirable for use on the breast.
