Is Xepi Safe in Breastfeeding

I am a breastfeeding mother and i want to know if it is safe to use Xepi? Is Xepi safe for nursing mother and child? Does Xepi extracts into breast milk? Does Xepi has any long term or short term side effects on infants? Can Xepi influence milk supply or can Xepi decrease milk supply in lactating mothers?

No information is available on Xepi cream during breastfeeding. Because it is poorly absorbed after topical application and is safely used in infants, Xepi is acceptable to use in nursing mothers. Although quinolones are generally acceptable for systemic use, Xepi should be avoided on the nipple because the infant could ingest the drug via licking.
