Question

I am a breastfeeding mother and i want to know if it is safe to use ADR 529? Is ADR 529 safe for nursing mother and child? Does ADR 529 extracts into breast milk? Does ADR 529 has any long term or short term side effects on infants? Can ADR 529 influence milk supply or can ADR 529 decrease milk supply in lactating mothers?

Answer by DrLact: About ADR 529 usage in lactation

No information is available on the use of ADR 529 during breastfeeding. The manufacturer recommends that women not breastfeed during treatment and for 2 weeks following the final dose of ADR 529. However, because ADR 529 is used with doxorubicin, the abstinence period might be longer, depending on the doxorubicin dose.
