Question

I am a breastfeeding mother and i want to know if it is safe to use HSDB 7319? Is HSDB 7319 safe for nursing mother and child? Does HSDB 7319 extracts into breast milk? Does HSDB 7319 has any long term or short term side effects on infants? Can HSDB 7319 influence milk supply or can HSDB 7319 decrease milk supply in lactating mothers?

Answer by DrLact: About HSDB 7319 usage in lactation

No information is available on the use of HSDB 7319 during breastfeeding. The manufacturer recommends that women not breastfeed during treatment and for 2 weeks following the final dose of HSDB 7319. However, because HSDB 7319 is used with doxorubicin, the abstinence period might be longer, depending on the doxorubicin dose.
