Question

I am a breastfeeding mother and i want to know if it is safe to use CCRIS 9394? Is CCRIS 9394 safe for nursing mother and child? Does CCRIS 9394 extracts into breast milk? Does CCRIS 9394 has any long term or short term side effects on infants? Can CCRIS 9394 influence milk supply or can CCRIS 9394 decrease milk supply in lactating mothers?

Answer by DrLact: About CCRIS 9394 usage in lactation

No information is available on the use of CCRIS 9394 during breastfeeding. The manufacturer recommends that women not breastfeed during treatment and for 2 weeks following the final dose of CCRIS 9394. However, because CCRIS 9394 is used with doxorubicin, the abstinence period might be longer, depending on the doxorubicin dose.
