Question

I am a breastfeeding mother and i want to know if it is safe to use ICRF 187? Is ICRF 187 safe for nursing mother and child? Does ICRF 187 extracts into breast milk? Does ICRF 187 has any long term or short term side effects on infants? Can ICRF 187 influence milk supply or can ICRF 187 decrease milk supply in lactating mothers?

Answer by DrLact: About ICRF 187 usage in lactation

No information is available on the use of ICRF 187 during breastfeeding. The manufacturer recommends that women not breastfeed during treatment and for 2 weeks following the final dose of ICRF 187. However, because ICRF 187 is used with doxorubicin, the abstinence period might be longer, depending on the doxorubicin dose.
