Answer by DrLact: About Flunarizinum [INN-Latin] usage in lactation

Flunarizinum [INN-Latin] is not approved for marketing in the United States by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration, but is available in other countries. No information is available on the use of Flunarizinum [INN-Latin] during breastfeeding. Because of its long half-life of 19 days in children, expert opinion recommends that Flunarizinum [INN-Latin] not be used in migraine prophylaxis.[1][2][3] An alternate drug is preferred, especially while nursing a newborn or preterm infant.
