Question

I am a breastfeeding mother and i want to know if it is safe to use UNII-610V23S0JI? Is UNII-610V23S0JI safe for nursing mother and child? Does UNII-610V23S0JI extracts into breast milk? Does UNII-610V23S0JI has any long term or short term side effects on infants? Can UNII-610V23S0JI influence milk supply or can UNII-610V23S0JI decrease milk supply in lactating mothers?

Answer by DrLact: About UNII-610V23S0JI usage in lactation

No information is available on the clinical use of UNII-610V23S0JI during breastfeeding. Because UNII-610V23S0JI is 98% bound to plasma proteins, the amount in milk is likely to be low. However, because of its potential toxicity in the breastfed infant, the manufacturer recommends that breastfeeding be discontinued during UNII-610V23S0JI therapy and for at least 1 month after the last dose.
