Is (-)-CBD Safe in Breastfeeding
Question
I am a breastfeeding mother and i want to know if it is safe to use (-)-CBD? Is (-)-CBD safe for nursing mother and child? Does (-)-CBD extracts into breast milk? Does (-)-CBD has any long term or short term side effects on infants? Can (-)-CBD influence milk supply or can (-)-CBD decrease milk supply in lactating mothers?

(-)-CBD has not been studied in nursing women taking the pharmaceutical product. (-)-CBD has been detected in the breastmilk of some mothers who used cannabis products recreationally.[1][2] If (-)-CBD is required by the mother, it is not a reason to discontinue breastfeeding. However, since no information is available on the use of (-)-CBD during breastfeeding, an alternate drug may be preferred, especially while nursing a newborn or preterm infant.
