I am a breastfeeding mother and i want to know if it is safe to use Diacereina? Is Diacereina safe for nursing mother and child? Does Diacereina extracts into breast milk? Does Diacereina has any long term or short term side effects on infants? Can Diacereina influence milk supply or can Diacereina decrease milk supply in lactating mothers?

It metabolizes to rein (rhubarb anthraquinone glycoside). Most possible serious effect is diarrhea. Due to higher %protein binding, excretion to breast milk are unlikely. Absorption through the child’s gut is interfered by the calcium contained in the milk.
